Amber Kazmir, Dean of DSU

Amber Kazmir is a 31 year old stay-at-home mom who resides in Austin, TX with her wonderful husband Peter. Amber is a proud new mommy to twin boys, Drew, and her angel in heaven, Colin, who were born at 26 weeks on 02/07/05. Drew spent 109 days in the NICU but was able to come home on 05/26/05 and doing marvelously and has no permanent health problems as a result of his extreme prematurity!

Amber was searching for a creative outlet that that would keep her interest longer than several weeks when she was introduced to digital scrapbooking. Her mother got her into stamping a few years ago and she had always intended to start scrapping with the stamp products but she was discouraged with the amount of money that she would have to spend on supplies, overwhelmed with the amount of product that was out there, and turned off by the amount of space that it would take up. Her mother actually introduced her to digital scrapping in April 2003. Digital Scrapping wasn't a fast sell for her because it was so overwhelming having to learn a new program. But she kept admiring all of the wonderful LO's that were done by other scrappers and her DH had a copy of PS7 so she decided to try give it a try. She has tried scrapping with several other programs but she is a PS girl at heart. Digital scrapping has become her passion and its very hard to tear her away from her computer.

She is and avid football fan and her favorite team is the Texas Longhorns! You can usually always find her with a diet coke in her hand and her favorite junk food is pizza. She has never considered herself a girlie-girl since she was very athletic in highschool but her SIL has changed that. She loves anything pink, loves to go shopping for new shoes and purses, loves chick-flicks, and reality TV! Although she does love a really good comedy and her all time favorite TV show is Friends. Her new favorite TV show is Grey's Anatomy but she also really likes CSI, Law and Order, and West Wing. She absolutely loves her Canon Digital Rebel and is wanting to learn more about photography and her ultimate goal is starting a photography business.
